Here’s the Scoop! Rocklyn Inn Ice Cream & Snack Shop is a cute little shop located at the Rocklyn Inn Bed & Breakfast in the little village of Rocklyn Ontario just 14 minutes south of Meaford on the corner of 7th line and 22B Sideroad.

Owner’s Lesley & Michael created the Ice Cream & Snack Shop in the summer of 2020 as a second offering to their Bed & Breakfast business.

They have been open for 3 summers so far and won the Community Votes Platinum Award for “Best Ice Cream” in Grey County last year in 2021!

They serve up some delicious hard scooped ice cream from the local Chapman’s Ice Cream company.

They create custom sundaes with any flavour of ice cream, 3 different toppings of hot fudge, hot caramel or hot homemade strawberry sauce. They also make any flavour milkshakes and serve up classic old-school banana splits. They serve their ice cream in cups, cones and waffle cones.

Their quaint little shop also serves up some delicious snacks that vary between baked goods, novelty candies, salt water taffy, chocolates, gummy candies, lollipops and chips. They also offer hot beverages such as Hot Chocolate, Coffee, and Tea. They have cold refreshments of pop, juice, vitamin water, Gatorade, and water.

If you want to enjoy the outside air spring, summer and fall they offer cute picnic tables with umbrellas for shade, and a local A1-Porta Potty Toilet with hand sanitizer for customers comfort and enjoyment.

While visiting take a gander of their rock gardens in the parking lot while you enjoy your ice cream or treats with family and friends! Lesley & Michael can’t wait to scoop for you!

Our Story

Hello there! We are Lesley & Michael Telfser. The owners of Rocklyn Inn Bed & Breakfast. Lesley & Michael met in 2013 and married in 2015. They have a hypoallergenic cockapoo named Oliver.

After many years in the medical insurance industry, Lesley decided to change her career path and follow her dream of running a Bed & Breakfast.

She has been known by friends and family to be an over the top host always striving to make everyone who visits her home comfortable and cared for. This character trait led her to discover her dream.

Lesley studied Hospitality Hotel & Operations Management at Durham College in 2017/2018.

She and her husband Michael began ownership of the Rocklyn Inn Bed & Breakfast in February 2019. This unique century home built in 1891 was previously in Michael’s family as his Aunts & Uncles owned the Rocklyn Inn in the early 1990’s.

Lesley & Michael continue to update and renovate the Inn to make it the best experience for their guests. They recently created an Ice Cream & Snack Shop as another offering out of their Bed & Breakfast. The Ice Cream Shop serves hard scoop ice cream from local Chapman’s Ice Cream Company.

Their home is equipped with modern amenities, guest rooms, spacious bathrooms and all keeping the unique character of the home.

Lesley is a delightful and friendly host who believes in offering the best customer service to her guests.

Michael is a tradesman and licensed Gas Fitter. He is the resident handyman and looks after the tougher tasks and repairs at the Rocklyn Inn B & B.
